Do what you like with it

SpreadPaper is free software under the MIT licence. No purchase, no subscription, no account, so most of what a terms page usually covers has nothing here to attach to.

The licence is the agreement

The app and its source are MIT licensed. Use it, change it, redistribute it, sell it, as long as the copyright notice travels with it. If this page ever seems to disagree with the licence, the licence wins.

No warranty, and I mean it

Provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, and nobody liable for anything that follows from using it. That is the licence's own wording and it is meant literally: this is one person's evenings, not a support contract. Some places forbid excluding certain warranties, in which case that part is not yours to worry about.

Official builds live on the releases page, which is where every download button here points. A copy from anywhere else was not built by me and could be anything at all.

Your pictures are yours

Nothing is claimed over the images you open or the wallpapers made from them, and nothing is uploaded. Holding the right to use a given photograph is your department. The ones bundled as examples come from Unsplash under the Unsplash licence, credited in the footer.

Forks and pull requests

Both welcome. Anything you contribute arrives under the same MIT licence so it can ship with the project, and issues are public, so leave out anything you would rather keep. Fork it by all means, but give yours its own name, so nobody downloads a build expecting this one.

The small print

Made by Robin van Baalen in Curaçao, Dutch Caribbean. Curaçao law applies, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live. Reach me at hello@spreadpaper.app. If any of this changes, so does the date at the top.
